2027 Block of the Month

Happy Home is a year-long block of the month program featuring 12 unique quilt blocks that celebrate the little things that make a place feel like home. Six sweet figural blocks are paired with six unique quilt blocks, creating a quilt that feels playful, modern, and full of personality.

Whether you’re brand new to quilting or have been piecing for years, Happy Home is designed to be an enjoyable project from the very first block to the very last. Beginner quilters will learn new skills through a well-paced progression, and experienced quilters will enjoy perfecting their precision!

  • What skill level is required for this pattern?

    This pattern is appropriate for any skill level! Blocks will be released on a schedule that builds skills for new quilters, and experienced quilters will get to refine their skills and watch the blocks come together quickly.

  • What if the BOM has already started? Can I still sign up?

    You can sign up any time during (or after) the BOM and still receive all of the blocks!

  • Can I buy a block separately?

    Not at this time.

  • What size is offered?

    This BOM makes a throw sized quilt; however, if you're feeling adventurous you can make more or fewer blocks to customize your size (instructions are not given for alternate sizes).

  • What is included in this BOM?

    This program includes all patterns required to make the Happy Home quilt. Tutorials and extra instructions will be provided for basic techniques and block assembly. This BOM does not include fabric, though kits may be available from shops. More information about kits will be shared closer to the BOM start date.

  • Where can I find fabric requirements?

    Fabric requirements will be shared soon.

  • How will I get the blocks?

    The blocks will be available for download on your dashboard at alderwoodstudio.thinkific.com each month. An email reminder will be sent when the blocks are available for download!

  • Is this BOM a one-time payment?

    Yes, you sign up with a one-time payment for the whole BOM. The BOM fee is $48 ($4/month).
