Because of the number of curved pieces, I would consider this an intermediate pattern. If you feel confident in your curve sewing abilities, you should be fine with this pattern!
For the most part, yes! There is no applique in this pattern. There are two small sections that are best assembled with very simple foundation paper piecing - if you've never done this before, this is the perfect time to try, and I will walk you through it! If you prefer to avoid FPP, there are templates you can use to piece those sections traditionally.

The sample quilt shown is a throw size, though a larger version could be made by adding more blocks! Possible layouts for different sizes (including a baby size) are shown in the class content.
